Tiliqua Records - Tidal Waves of Lysergic Sonic Madness

New Release info & Rare Records Mail Order Update MAY 2008

Yeah!!!!! Sit back and strap yourself in because it will be a wyld ride. Finally spring has arrived and it feels good. Sunshine, flowering sakura trees, delicious freshly harvested take no ko and scarcely clothed nymphets to walk the streets are just some of the pleasures this season bestows me with. But that is not all. With it comes also a new harvest of freshly unearthed records. So pray in salvation for corrupted meditation because we have a huge list here filled with killer tunes for y'a all. No colonial rape, just vintage head blowing and skull scraping sounds, heavy psych, loads of free jazz and avant-garde rarities that will keep you puzzled hopefully for some time. So what are the goodies this time around? Almost 300 new additions of rare and rarely offered musical artifacts. The list this time round is just huge and I hope you all will have a good time browsing through it. So it is safe to assume I have up here a rather big list stuffed with a bunch of free jazz rarities – many private pressings – private as well as major label ones, just too many to list here - amongst them original Sonny Murray on Jihad, Charles Tyler on Ak-Ba, Japan only Steve Lacy, 1961 Sun Ra on Savoy, etc. Also some heavy duty Japanese psych artifacts such as an original mint copy of Uganda (hardly ever offered as far as I know) , Samurai, Sara & Melody, the 1st Helpful Soul LP, Love Live Life + One LP, original hyper rare copy of East Bionic Symphonia, a true never seen or offered before truly 1st pressing of the 1st Taj Mahal Travelers disc (also never ever seen before, so damned those e-bay scammers claiming originality, this here is a true 1st pressing, scroll down of facts), original Powerhouse copy on blood red wax, mega rare original press copy of Yanagida Hiro's Milk Time (the famous gorilla jacket), hyper obscure acid folk private press rarity Furukawa Mibu, Vanity Records artifacts, original copy of Tani Naomi's S&M pink artifact, original Hadaka no Rallizes book and 7 inch as well as their officially long out of print for over more than a decade 2 CD set, the already out of print super deluxe new Boris LP in carved out box set artwork that was limited to only 500 copies, Freedom Unity mega rare oddity that until now remained unknown to the outside world, FTB's guitar gunslinger Ishima Hideki's sole solo album that is mind bendingly beautiful, Tori Kudo's hideously rare gHard Rock Albumh, some Japanese vintage electronic music discs such as Ono Matsuo, Kosugi Takehisa with obi, Orchestral Space and a hyper rare Makoto Moroi LP, a bunch of rarely seen Japanese free jazz deities and hard blowing free roaming ball crushers and much more. Next to that we also could dig up a hideously rare beyond belief limited private pressing of 50 copies only La Monte Young LP, original Bill Fay 1st LP, original Out Of Darkness copy on Key, 25 copies only Red Transistor release, Futura label's best kept secret Red Noise, some LAFMS vintage madness, hyper rare Catalogue live LP with Berrocal ripping the sky to pieces, Japan only hideously rare 1969 bloody heavy Sonny Sharrock record that has never been reissued till this day (Tiliqua acquired the rights to this one so later this year it will hit you in the face and leave you stunned and speechless), Tony Conrad jamming with Faust way back in 1971, Still Life, hypnotic Magma meets Brigitte Fontaine like Chene Noire and Folke Rabe amongst many many more. The list this month is just too long and every single addition is worth to be highlighted as far as I am concerned. So please do redirect your browsers to the Rare Record section of the site and get lost in its Technicolor and sonic wonderland avenue of demented glory.

Apart from all that madness let me remind you that Tiliqua Records has released Joakim Skogsberg gJola Rotah album which is moving fast like a bat out of hell. If you have not secured yourself a copy yet, now is the time to get your butt in gear because we are starting to run low on copies already. Also pretty soon we will be able to hit you senseless with a new release that will ignite a new series dedicated to unearthing vintage and totally obscure Japanese psych artifacts. The first release in this series will be the 1st official reissue of Ishikawa Akira & Count Buffalo's gUgandah disc, housed in an exact miniature single box set reproduction sleeve just like the original. And unlike the boot LP edition that came out of it some time ago (complete with some pictures detailing artists that had nothing to do with it) will this issue be taken directly from the master tapes. So this will be out in the next couple of weeks.

That is it for now, I hope you all can hang on in there, get loose, let the beast out and get ready for summer while stocking up on some killer slides that will keep the ladies hot and happy. Thanks for looking. Have a nice spring and let the music help you split open the heavens, part the sees and lead you to your promised safe haven. Music will after all be the next revolutionary tool. Thank you all for making this happening and hope to hear from you on the other side. – Tiliqua Crew.

Tiliqua Records - New Cutting-Edge Release of Depraved Oriental Erotica - Chicks with Whips!!

New Release info & Rare Records Mail Order Update March 6 th, 2008

Finally Tiliqua's new update is ready to roll. But before hitting you with obscure vinyl oddities and rarities, I would like to draw your attention to two new releases that are about to hit the streets as we speak. It has been a while since Tiliqua Records put out a new title, but the licensing and legal matters surrounding the slew of releases to appear and in preparation certainly has slowed us down here (as well as some cancelled preparations and payments gone up in smoke for a release by an unnamed high ego rip-off scam artist but that is another story) – as well as our move towards a new location near the mountains – but finally it seems that we are back on track. So I am more than proud to announce the following titles. Just out and ultra limited is a new installment in our Erotic Oriental Sunshine Series – probably the most underground and dirtiest of all so far – if not the most depraved sexual recording (content-wise) worldwide by hardcore porn SM actress MABUKI JUNKO entitled gAi no Doreih (Slave of Love). Limited to only 500 copies (due to its depraved filthy contents and the licensing infringements it tagged along) so you know what that meansc..better act now and hold your peace forever since this baby will be all gone dried up before you can say gWhat the hell is this??h And I am sure this release will evoke that kind of reaction from people exposed to it. Out now and for more info on it, please redirect your mouse towards the label section of the website.

The second release that will be out at the end of March is the 1st official reissue of JOACHIM SKOGSBERG gJola Rotah album, one of Sweden's most minimal psychedelic lost gems out of the early seventies, fully licensed, remastered from the original master tapes and with the kind corporation of Mr Skogsberg himself. To these ears it is one of the best discs to seep out of the high north and one of my all time favorites. We have the exclusive rights to this one and first a CD issue will be unleashed. This will be followed around May by an ultra limited to 250 copies only high quality LP issue complete with liner notes and obi strip. The LP issue will be a subscription release only and solely available from Tiliqua Records directly. 250 copies on high quality heavy vinyl, these babies will fly out in no time so don't lull around if you want to secure yourself a piece of the action. But first we will present you the CD version at the end of the month. And as is the case with all Tiliqua releases, these two releases will of course be housed in heavy duty high quality mini-LP styled gatefold sleeves complete with obi and detailed liner notes.

But that is not all of course. There is always our now bi-monthly update of rare and tasty vinyl as well. This time I can present you with the largest update so far – 250 new LP entries, some out of print CD titles and some vintage books to mess up your mind. Highlights are amongst others – 1st original press copy of Flowers, one of the rarest LP's to seep out of 1969 Japan; original copy of Flower Traveling Band's gAnywhereh; gMake Uph complete with mint leather bag and never seen before OBI; Jacks' private press live album and gRealizationh; Araki Ichiro's gAraki Ichiro no Sekaih complete with obi; bunch of Japanese erotic vintage LP's such as Sandra Julien's gSexy Poemh, Sally May gKinpatsu no Enkah, Kuwabara Yukiko complete mint copy with obi and poster, Itoh Kiyoko's rarest LP with JA Seazer helping out, Atsumi Mari 1st album and Sandra Alexandra's Japan only LP. Original Japanese pressings with obi of the 1st Black Sabbath (Vertigo Obi), 1st Velvet Underground, multi colored psychedelic wax Jefferson Airplane Japan only LP, Syd Barrett and Can's Tago Magocc.which are gonna hurt like hell since they are so bloody rare 1st edition Japanese pressings with obi and so much more in full swing. More Japanese psych with the 1st Cosmos Factory, 1st Taj Mahal Travelers LP complete with obi, Speed Glue & Shinki's gEveh LP, never offered before Dema (with Kimio Mizutani at helm), the Floral picture disc that will make your eyes bleed, Gypsy Blood on Vertigo Japan and much more. Also lots of heavy avant-garde and free jazz deities in stock such as a EX copy of the hideously rare but bloody awesome Karel Appel LP gMusique Barbareh; Hans Otte 200 copies limited gOn Earthh gallery edition LP, Henning Christiansen LP, John Duncan viciously rare LP, original copies of Takayanagi Masayuki's gIndependenceh and Takagi/Tsuchitori gOriginationh LP, Ukaji Shoji's private press monster, etc. For the rest there is a bunch of acid folk LP's like original copies of COB, Itziar, Trees, Aktuala, Ann Briggs on Topic, heavy psych in the form of Leaf Hound and so bloody much more. So in order to get the full picture, please scroll down or redirect your already watery eyes to the gRare Recordsh section of the website. I have worked my ass off to come up with this heavy load and I hope you all will dig this month's offerings. Thanks you all for making the previous list such a blast and hope to hear from you again this time around. Keep on rocking and grooving and if in the neighborhood be sure to pop in and say hi, cool sake and ass-whippingly cool music will await youc. The Tiliqua Crew.

Tiliqua Records - The Helpful Soul Whipping it out - Have a great 2008!

New Release info & Rare Records Mail Order Update December/ January 2008

A merry Christmas and happy holidays to you all! It has been a while but finally Tiliqua is back on track. The last month we moved towards a new spacious place near the sacred Mount Takao (Takao-San), a mountainous and green densely wooded area on the west side of the Tokyo metropolis at the eastern edge of the Kanto mountain range. Tokyo has a reputation – as you might well know - as an endless urban jungle made of concrete buildings interspersed by chaotic narrow streets and the scarcity of parks that can tire even the most citified. After living five years in a densely populated quarter of the city we ought the time ripe to spread our wings and seek out greener and more spacious pastures, settling eventually in the nature endowed surroundings of Takao-San. Having moved to a big house enabled me also to properly stock and display all the discs that crammed up the previous accommodation and it also holds the promise of being able to build out the Tiliqua label activities to a fuller extent now that I am graced with office as well as lots of stocking space. And this is certainly a very welcome thing since I had to hold off pending releases (3 to be precise) till January/ February since our previous lodgings could not hold any more stock. Moving house towards this rich nature blessed region is definitely a blessing. Long morning walks in the woods clears up the head for a day to be filled with music. And music has been pouring in these last two months here. Once we decided on moving, I have been on a record buying rampage and could lay my hands some nice collections – parts of them ended up on this month's huge update. I thought it wise to end the year in style and welcome the new one with a bang, hence the time to unleash another dose of lethal psych/ prog/ avant-garde/ experimental and outsider gems upon your minds. This month's mammoth list includes tons of hideously rare records, classics, obscure ones, mega killers and brainblowing vinyl of underground grails. There is just too much in these pages that there is no point in name dropping some of the tasty ones that made it on the list this time around. So better scroll down to the list or click your way through the Rare Records Section on the website in order to see all this dementia in its full Technicolor splendor. Thank you all for making this year such a great one and be sure to make 2008 even better. And if you get tired of big city life and need a break to browse through cool music in a leisurely and nature endowed environment, be sure to drop me a line and pay a visit at the Tiliqua office. Thank you all once more for your continuous support, good vibes and excellent taste in music. I hope you will enjoy this month's offerings and look forward to hear from you all. Best wishes, happy holidays, smashing festivities to salute out 2007 and be sure see ya all on the other side of the demarcation line! Tiliqua Crew.

Tiliqua Records - Long Nights, Ugly Days, Orgy of the Doomed....

New Release info & Rare Records Mail Order Update October 15th, 2007

Hello boys and girlscc.thanks for tuning in again this time round. Hope you will sit back and relax because this month's update is our biggest yet and stuffed to bursting with killer records, insane rarities and common goodies so I hope you will like the sonic excavation I did for you all. Consider it the autumn welcome list that contains old classics, obscure label weirdness, mega rare killer slides and some silver CD stuff that with dazzle your eyes. So in a way the perfect substitute for all of you who cannot visit the Utrecht fair but crave nevertheless for that heavy vinyl fix. So sit back, take a breath and let the doctor take care of ya. This time I prepared 120 new LP additions and 30 some new CD additions, all on view on the website. Top guns this time around are an original copy of the privately released Jacks Live LP (yep original press, one of the rarest LP's to seep out of Japan), original mint copy of Genya with obi attached, sealed copy of the Oz Days 2 LP set (of course original press), original Japanese heavy weight psych artifacts such as, Love Live Life + 1, first pressing of the legendary Kirikyogen disc, legendary Karuna Khyal LP, various Kosugi Takehisa related titles, a bunch of Japanese free jazz monsters such as the privately released rare Junji Hirose LP, signed copy of FMT LP, Evolution Ensemble Unity disc with Takagi Mototeru, Togashi Masahiko monster rarity that dwells into similar regions as the 1st Taj Mahal Travelers LP, original press of Taj Mahal Travelers, free jazz blasts with various Japanese superior pressings of the Actual catalogue, Derek Bailey's gNew Sights Old Soundsh Japan only 2 LP set, Clifford Thornton, Japan only Don Cherry gBlue Lakeh issue, two of the rarest Mikami Kan records, Teng Records obscurity, Geino Yamashirogumi's gOsorezanh, Jacques Thollot and Jean Guerin killers on the legendary Futura label. And if that is not enough also some Japanese avant-garde and electronic music surfaces again in the form of original copies of the Orchestral Space and Space Theatre discs, more electronic vintage stuff with stellar copies of both volumes of the always elusive gDutch Electronic Tape Musich anthologies and for your female vocalist fetishists some ear candy in the form of Hoki Tokuda, Michi Kanako, Hanayanagi Genshuu and Morita Doji. Sealed Pinakoteka titles also in stock, some Boris slides, Japanese psych artifacts, Japanese pressings of Morricone flicks, Crass and Black Flag, west coast hardcore action with Uniform Choice and so much more. And this is just a tip of the iceberg, so please do have a look at the gRare Recordh section of the website to view all in its Technicolor splendor.

That aside, Tiliqua Records is also currently busy with preparing three to four new titles that hopefully will all see the light of day within the following months. Some titles have been in the works for quite some time since musical archeology is a time consuming endeavor after all. Next up is a reissue of one of Sweden's best kept and rarest minimalist psych artifacts (more news next month – we just received the masters and they sound AWESOME!!!! – due end of November – Cd and ltd LP will be done of this one), also we got the green light on excavating what is possibly the rarest ever Japanese psychedelic rock record of all time since only about 50 copies seem to be in existence (this one is due at the end of the year, so more news soon), a new depraved erotic title is also in the works as we speak. In a way the delay in releasing new titles can be traced back to the legwork involved in trying to obtain the licensing rights to some of those obscure titles for the Archival Series, trying to locate the master tapes and track down – if possible – the people that were involved in those projects. So in a way it feels like some of the titles Tiliqua tries to release have much in common with musical archeology or sonic anthropology projects for the musical insane. In all it is quite time and money consuming so I hope it will be worth the effort. New titles by fresh artists are also in the works but their releases also got slowed down by these excavating projects I threw myself in head first. Hopefully all will level itself out in the following weeks and months so that Tiliqua's label release schedule will attain again some consistency. But maybe that is again some wishful thinking of my part. In either way, I hope it will be worth the wait. But until that time will besiege us, some vintage vinyl is here for you in order to get you music lovers through these periods of drought and misery. I hope you will enjoy this month's update and hope to hear from you all. Have a nice autumn and keep on rocking. – Tiliqua Records.
