61. V.A./ Anthology of World Music: “The Music of Tibetan Buddhism” (Rounder – 5129~31) (3 CD Set: Near Mint/ Cases: Near Mint/ Slipcase outer Box Set: near Mint). "Tibet stands at the confluence of three civilizations, the Turko-Mongolian, the Chinese and the Indian. Enriched from time to time by influences from these, its own ancient tradition has developed in high isolation from the rest of the civilized world. This tradition embraces a very distinctive way of life and a music all its own. Buddhist music is quite different from that of Tibetan art and folk music and is the aspect to which these records are exclusively devoted. The Lamas say 'Religion is sound.' The recitation of mantras, chanting and the playing of instrumental music are fundamental in their worship. All religious services, recorded [on location], are here presented in their complete form, with very few exceptions as stated in the relevant notes." --Peter Crossley-Holland, from his liner notes Three-CD boxset; in slipcase with 24 pages of notes, illustrations, photos. A Stunning Collection. Price: 35 Dollars

66. V.A./ OZ DAYS: (2 CD set and fold out 2 sided insert are new and mint). Ltd pressing of only 300 copies, long gone and sold out, one stock surfaced again out of the blue. Grey area reissue of this legendary LP –
with Taj Mahal Travelers, Minami Masato, Acid Seven and Hadaka no Rallizes aka Les Rallizes Denudes. Without a single doubt, this bloodsucker of a disc is one of THE holy grails of the Japanese early seventies lysergic psych scene, together with Speed Glue & Shinki, Sato Masahiko & Soundbreakers and People/Ceremony. Privately released in a tiny edition on the OZ Days label way back in 1973, the record was and is till this day the only legitimate recording on vinyl to feature the Rallizes and Acid Seven. Each of the four bands has a whole site to their disposal onto which they were allowed to open up the sonic floodgates to Valhalla. The music on the other hand is completely stellar, mind boggling and just jaw droppingly great, leaving you, the listener, gasping for air on several moments while spinning this disc since your vital organs will just forget to function properly upon being exposed to this archeological sonic gem. Kosugi's clitter-clatter Fluxus induced ramshackle psychedelic drone unit the Taj Mahal Travelers put down a stunning outer worldly and almost transcendental performance, there where the Rallizes venture into an ephedrine soaked sub-linear universe of ear ripping feedback and slowed down stroboscopic madness. As you might expect, these babies are ultra limited, released in an edition of only 300 copies so you know what that means…Act smooth, swift and quick for this one since such as chance is unlikely to cross your record collecting path within the following decade. Only one last copy available of this monster….. Price: 100 Dollars |

67. V.A./ “Wasei Jazz – Beatnik Eiga Ongaku Kessakusen– Nikkatsu Hen” (Think! – 4 CD Box Set) (Individual CD's: sealed/ Slipcase Box set: Mint/ Individual jackets: Mint/ Individual Poster Inserts: Mint). The box set was limited to 300 copies, there were the individual CD's were released in an edition of 1000. Awesome set, providing for the very first time the complete soundtracks of 4 Japanese cult movie favorites, being Suzuki Seishun's “Koroshi no Rakuin” (1967) with music by Yamada Naoki; “Kuroi Tayo” (1963) with music by the Max Roach Group and “Kyounetsu no Kisetsu” (1960) with music by Furuyama Takao and as final installment there is the soundtrack to Suzuki Seishun's “Subete no Kyousuru” (1960). The box set was only available from one sole shop and sold out in a matter or weeks. The music to this set is fantastic, comprised out of mid-sixties sleazy gutter jazz, late night barstool listening, wasted city slang and other convulsions to accommodate your smoked filled dungeon of customized cool while you are getting rid of societies straight-laced values and welcome a juvenile delinquent lifestyle of dope, cool as fuck jazz licks and velvet chicks. These discs will provide the perfect soundtrack. Just beautiful, anarchic, eclectic, hyperbolic, intense, cool as ice and brimming over with jazzed up java ready to scorn you neighborhood with the vibes it always lacked. Highest recommendation and should appeal to cool jazz heads, Japanese cult and underground movie buffs and lovers of dead cold stoned good music. Price: 160 Dollars
